Selection Process

USMGA WORLDS TEAM -Australia 2008

The process starts when you submit a rider history and indicate whether you are available for international travel.

We have had some inquiries about the tryout process for the upcoming year's teams. Here is what we know so far.

Clive Jones will be selecting teams for Europeon competitions this year and for the IMGA World Championship to be held at the end of October in Australia. To be considered for teams riders need to attend one of the competition/clinics on either Martin Luther King Day weekend Jan. 19 and 20 or Presidents Day weekend Feb. 16-17.

If you are traveling from a distance there may be loaner ponies available. From these tryouts riders will be selected for teams for the BlueGrass Open.

Travel Info

USMGA pays entry fees for the World Team Championships only. Riders are responsible for travel, living expenses, fuel and entry fees. Our travel manager finds great deals on low-cost travel and if you find a sponsor we will apply sponsorships to your travel expenses .
